It's Intake time for the Toyota Land Cruiser!

Following the successful launch of our Toyota Tacoma Intake, our Land Cruiser version will not disappoint.  We will revisit all of the same characteristics that make our Tacoma system work so well:

  1. Larger airbox, for reduced pressure drop
  2. Larger intake tube, with tuned diameter to keep ECU/fuel trims happy and no CEL
  3. Higher flow, dry flow air filter
  4. Extra air entry for more flow, reduced pressure drop

Taking a look at the OEM Land Cruiser airbox below, we can see there is only one air entry from the limited area from the fender.

Looking at our airbox below we keep the OEM air feed but add an extra scoop for the air entering the front of this area behind the headlight and front grille.  This will help reduce pressure drop within the entire intake system, allowing for more flow and it increases the efficiency of the turbo compressor.

Continuing with the overall look of the system, looking below you can see our CAD model within a 3D scan of the Land Cruiser engine bay.  We utilize 3D scanning to create our parts within a 1:1 computer environment.   This allows us to reduce prototyping and get perfect fitting parts.

Looking at the complete system below, you can see our huge dry flow air filter nestled in the box with our signature magnetic lid.

We will post our test results in the next couple weeks as we do on and off road testing, dyno results and flow bench results.  We hope to see similar results to our current Tacoma system.  Thanks for reading!
