The SXTH Element Engineering Intercooler for the Elantra N reduces intake air temperatures and gains power WITH NO TUNING required! Extensively tested and validated to gain and sustain up to 10whp/10wtq on OEM tuning as well as up to 13-15whp on Stage 1 calibrations with extra boost!
Our high performance bar and plate core provides superior cooling and heat sink resistance to tube/plate construction of the OEM core. The new core utilizes OEM connections while increasing in thickness and height. This kit is bolt on with NO modification to the car for fitment!
Please see our testing blog link below for a breakdown and a 40mph to 150mph test that shows how our car can reduce IATs in extended wide open throttle runs so much you can retain up to 30whp over OEM!
The Core
Our intercooler core is bar/plate and 30% thicker than OEM to aid in cooling and increase flow. We also take advantage of as much space as possible with the "stepped" core shape to add even more internal cooling area. The entire core is also painted in a special thermal paint for even more heat protection.
Couplers/Clamps
We use high quality 4-ply silicone couplers custom designed for the Elantra N application. They are sealed with stainless steel t-bolt clamps.
Engineered Solution
We use 3D scans of the engine bay in our CAD software to design the intercooler for OEM like fit. We design the new part inside the scan data and that allows us to maximize core size and shape the cast aluminum end tanks for the best intercooler possible. This is an overlay of the OEM core and SXTH core in the Elantra N.

Performance Boost
Dyno tests on OEM tuning and well as piggyback resulted in gains up to 10whp and 10wtq in the majority of the powerband.
