Some products offered by SXTH Element and SXTHNK are not capable of shipping to states that have adopted the C.A.R.B. Standard. Those products can include anything induction or exhaust related. More information can be found in the link below.
C.A.R.B. and E.P.A. InformationThis Pierburg Solenoid is a much faster operating valve that will help eliminate fluttering and surging. If you are sporting an upgraded ECU Calibration or a big turbo, you can still retain factory operation without worry.
The Pierburg is a direct solenoid operated 3-way poppet valve. It features a short stroke solenoid, a balanced poppet and powerful return spring. These features translate into high shifting forces, fast consistent response times, and long life.
When the stock valve is retained on the vehicle it can cause a surging effect in boost with an upgraded ECU or turbocharger. Changing to a Pierburg Solenoid will eliminate this effect and smooth your boost curve.

What everyone else said is true. It really makes the car run smoother. I always had a hard time going from 2nd to 3rd under med/hard throttle, the car would hesitate then decide to pick up boost. Now it just pulls through the gears. The car is legitimately faster now.

This solenoid is noticeably quicker in response over the OE unit. It eliminated the on off feeling when under light to mid throttle. Worth the money.
I lost all boost pressure from my oem unit faling at 40k miles, this replacement was a direct plug and play. Like everything from sxth element it is over engineered, and that's a good thing. Since install my boost has been a back to a consistant 21lbs at wot.
Just a great functioning solenoid, if you're tuning just go ahead and add it in the cart.
I have a 2018 Elantra sport with the DCT and every time you were off throttle and would get back on throttle there would be a lag but not because of the turbo. The Pierburg upgrade not only solved the surging these cars are plagued with but it also stopped the car from having lag when getting back on the throttle. Definitely a must have it really enhanced the drivers feeling from behind the wheel.
2020 Elantra GT N-Line, I added this along with the intercooler resonator delete pipe and regapped my stock spark plugs to 0.026in...highly recommend everyone do that by the way as the stock gapping was all over the place from 0.031-0.035! 0-60 time before they upgrades and spark plug adjustment was consistently around 7.05-7.1 seconds...after upgrades my best time was 5.99, and this is with traction and stability control still on. The other thing is the consistency, when you tip into the throttle whenever you feel that you're in boost it feels consistent and linear, which makes sense given what the solenoid is designed to help, I just didn't think it would make that much difference on a stock setup with no ECU tune. Absolutely blown away by the difference of such seemingly simple parts.
Was dropping boost! This Solenoid is a straight upgrade we still use on BMWs so you know it will work! Many Thanks to SXTH for the hookup!!!
So for starters. Great quality. The pierburg unit is much heavier meaning stronger internals. The amount of hose given is double what you need incase you mess up. The bracket is strong as h*ll. Some cons are the extension is a little short it could maybe be 2 inches longer just for wiggle room. The location is very tight to get your hands around the CV axle to route everything and get the bracket bolted in(save your oem bolt in case you drop the supplied one into the subframe). You only use 2 of the 3 ports so make sure you pay attention to the installation video. Took about 2.5 hours with basic tools an floor jack. Definitely have long reach pliers handy. Other than just tight space an time consuming it's definitely worth the money. I installed today (7-11-2020) and drove about 15 miles around town an theres a noticeable gain in performance. Its 100 outside today an still a night and day difference.
