Product Information

Everything we tune at SXTH Element is handled in-house. After ordering, you'll receive an EcuTek Bluetooth dongle. Just plug in, pull your ECU data from your driveway, and send us your setup details (fuel, mods, and driving goals). We'll build a custom tune tailored to your truck and send it right back. You skip the shop hassle, shipping logistics, and long waitlists.

These tunes are built for real life, not just dyno numbers. We've validated our calibrations across thousands of miles and extreme elevation changes—from sea level to 11,000+ feet—ensuring smooth power delivery whether you're daily driving at the beach or towing up a steep grade.

How it works

  1. Order your tune — We ship you an EcuTek Bluetooth OBDII dongle.
  2. Read your ECU — Plug in and pull your stock ROM using the EcuTek ECU Connect app on your phone.
  3. Tell us your setup — Send us your read along with the setup form (mods, fuel, what you want out of it).
  4. We build your file — Our team calibrates a flash file specifically for your truck and sends it back.
  5. Flash and drive — Load it from your phone in the driveway.

Tune options

Which option is right for you?

Standard Flash and Ethanol Flash are flash-only tunes — think of them as a step above OTS (off-the-shelf), because they’re still built around your specific mods and fuel. Both include a datalog review after your flash so we can confirm everything is running correctly. If we spot something off in your log, we’ll correct it and walk you through what we found. What they don’t include is an iterative revision process based on multiple logs and rounds of feedback.

Custom Flash is the full back-and-forth experience — multiple datalogs, revisions based on your feedback, and a tune dialed in over several sessions. It’s the right choice if you have a more complex setup, specific power goals, or just want the most refined result possible.

Standard Tune

Two maps in one flash — a high torque map and a low torque map — switchable on the fly with your cruise control buttons. Run the high map when you want everything, drop to the low map for towing, low-quality fuel, or just an easier daily.

+21% torque on the high map • +14% on the low map • pump gas

Ethanol Tune (Coming soon — Requires CAN flex kit)

Blend anything from pump gas up to E40 and the ECU handles the rest. The flex kit reads ethanol content in real time and the calibration optimizes timing, fueling, and boost for whatever is actually in the tank. Fill up with whatever’s at the station and the tune adapts.

+22% torque on E30 • +29% peak power • capable of up to E40

The CAN flex kit is required for ethanol tuning and is coming soon.

The gains

SAE corrected

Tune Peak WHP Peak WTQ Torque gain Power gain
Baseline (stock) 253 350
Standard — Low Torque map 296 399 +14% +17%
Standard — High Torque map 305 424 +21% +20%
Ethanol — E30 326 426 +22% +29%

The Standard high torque map and the E30 tune land on nearly the same peak torque. The difference is up top: E30 carries that torque further into the rev range and pulls noticeably harder past peak, which is where the extra ~20 wheel horsepower shows up.

Results shown on a non-hybrid i-Force test vehicle with 33" tires. Your numbers will vary with fuel, mods, elevation, and conditions.

Add-on: Transmission Tuning

Optional transmission calibration that backs up the added power with firmer shifts and optimized shift points, so the truck holds gears where it should and shifts with authority instead of slurring through them. Available in two levels:

  • OEM+ — Firmer shifts and optimized shift points for a tighter, more connected feel day to day.
  • Sport — The most aggressive shift firmness and shift logic for drivers who want maximum response.

What the tune does

  • Increased torque limits
  • Optimized lambda / AFR
  • Increased boost
  • Optimized ignition advance
  • More response at part throttle and wide-open throttle
  • Smoother throttle response
  • More power across the entire rev range

Supported modifications

Our tunes support a range of common bolt-on parts.

If you're running something wild, contact us before ordering and we'll let you know where it stands.

Before you order

  • Check app compatibility. Make sure your phone runs the EcuTek ECU Connect app (iOS / Android) before purchasing.
  • Coming from another platform? If you've previously flashed with Cobb, VFTuner, or anything else, you must return your vehicle to stock before flashing with EcuTek.
  • Account email. Use the same email for your EcuTek account and your SXTH Element order to avoid processing delays.
