The SXTH Element Engineering Front Mount Intercooler Kit was re-designed from the ground up for more cooling, more flow, and easier installation at a better price!

Our high performance bar and plate core provides superior cooling and heat sink resistance to competitor's tube/plate construction.  Our new core is officially the largest on the market with it's stepped core design.  The bottom portion measures 22in x 4.67in x 6.2in and the top portion measures 22in x 2.89in x 3in.  That's 9% more internal cooling area than our nearest competitor and 15% more than our previous design.

The Core

Our intercooler core was designed using 3D scanning and CAD along with CFD simulation to achieve perfect fitment while maximizing airflow.  The "stepped" core takes up as much space as possible so we can achieve the best cooling possible while fitting in the car without any modifications or extra parts needed.  Our core also comes with a special heat resistant coating.

Our fin design and end tanks are designed to flow as smooth as possible to help retain OEM spooling and power delivery characteristics.  Even at our larger size, no noticable lag is added to the system.


Hot Pipe

Our kit keeps the OEM cold side tubing for installation simplicity and to help keep overall pricing affordable. The OEM cold side tubing supported our Forte GT Hybrid turbo car at 310 wheel horsepower with ease. Our hot side tubing was tweaked to add a mounting bracket and for even better fitment.

The OEM intercooler in the 2019+ Veloster Turbo / Elantra Sport / Forte GT leaves a lot to be desired. As you can see below, the SXTH unit is much larger than OEM.  By utilizing every cubic inch possible, we can provide better airlfow and better cooling for more power and less heat soak.

Performance Boost

Even though there are certain limiters in the Engine Control Unit (ECU), our core was still able to achieve measurable power increase on our in-house dyno.  Gains can be seen across the RPM range.  Peak gains of 10 wheel HP and over 13 wheel HP in the upper RPM range on the OEM ECU programming!

2021 Veloster R-Spec

For future buyers installing on 2021 Veloster R-Spec, remove the crash bar completely and grind off the ambient temperature bracket. Relocate the ambient temperature sensor to somewhere nearby (I drilled a hole in some plastic nearby). Install the new intercooler. Now attempt to reinstall the crash bar and keep making marks on the crash bar and grinding out portions until it fits. Do not grind out more of the crash bar than you need it get it in there snug. Overall a great product, eliminates the heat soak in higher gears and speeds. Im running a full bolt on setup as well as SXTH’s Stage 2 EK1 tune. I can honestly feel a difference in the power across every gear. 4 stars because no intercooler “kit” should need the crash bar to be grinded down. However, they do warn you so I knew what I was getting myself into I guess.

Intercooler for 2021 Kia Forte GT

Had to wait on the intercooler for about 6 weeks. It was on backorder. It was worth the wait. It fits in the space perfectly. When you get the factory intercooler out and put them side by side, you can see the big differences in the new one. Got the hot pipe kit also. I can tell a big difference in the performance and the gas mileage. It also is making my engine run a little bit cooler. All I know is when I’m driving around 80 to 85mph and I hit the pedal, it fills like I just lit a rocket. I heavily recommend it.

Product Damaged

So I have not installed the product yet. I have not run a new dyno test after installing the Intercooler. I am rating this 3 stars because the product arrived damaged. The packaging was not damaged, so the product was damaged prior to packaging and was STILL shipped. The core is not damaged, but 2 fins are smashed together and it looks like a circular puncture. I love SXTH, but this is a QC problem that was overlooked.

Quality product

Was shopping around for an upgrade to the OEM intercooler and decided on the SXTH v2. Glad I did. Install was easy and straightforward. Paired with the hot pipe I immediately noticed stronger throttle response throughout the RPM range. Plus hearing the turbo spool up is a lot of fun too. Oh, and it looks dope AF behind the bumper. 5/5.

Fantastic Upgrade

Looks great, adds extra power and installation was simple.

Note to owners with the GT2 Package: Don't do what John did! You need to remove the ambient temperature sensor bracket AND the crash bar before attempting installation.

Much needed upgrade

I wish I bought and installed this sooner because it makes a night and day difference with this car. No more heat soaking and it feels like it revs so much more freely. The car punches harder and feels like it accelerates faster. The build quality is extremely nice and it looks great sitting behind the bumper. It says it requires some light grinding to install but I had to cut out the bottom of my crash bar to get it to fit and it still barely fits in there. I was given the wrong instructions so I spent some time trying to bend the ambient air temp sensor bracket just to find out that I actually need to just remove it. It's an extremely tight fit. Literally probably 2-3 mm of space that I needed but had to cut the crash bar for. A lengthy process to install but definitely worth it.
