This plate is designed to mount inside the console to provide a more stable foundation for the GR Corolla Arm Rest.
Note: Arm Rest Kit ordered after 8/27/24 include this component.

Helps alot in stability of the arm rest.
Seems well designed, waiting for the console to install the item.
I added this but didn't think I needed it. My armrest was pretty secure, but it did make it even better. It was interesting that it didn't come with anything explaining the best way to mount it since it had no hardware with it. The old mounting screws don't work with this additional brace so it would be nice if this came with new hardware. All of the new options should be included as an optional package when buying an armrest.
