The OEM catalytic converter in the Veloster N is very large and a huge restriction in the exhaust system. We replace the stock unit with a turbine matched cast bellmouth and full 3 inch diameter tubing all the way to the factory cat-back system. Our unit is full 304 stainless steel construction with the finest TIG welds and components.
Tuning is not required to install this downpipe. We also take the necessary design steps to keep the check engine light from coming on. We also utilize OEM exhaust hangers and a large Euro-style flex section for an OEM quality installation.
Our N Downpipe is designed and built to withstand the most rigorous conditions. To help with heat management, we include a new shield (OEM can be used but it's ugly, right?) and our Downpipe arrives to you with a full proprietary finish.
The N Downpipe also comes with a new heat 304 stainless heat shield ceramic coated in Transfer Gray. You do have the choice to use the stock heat shield though!
We start by 3D scanning the OEM downpipe (shown here in transparent blue) and design our new pipe using the latest in 3D CAD software. We can overlay our new design with OEM to make sure you have a perfect fit.
Our main design point of this downpipe is our cast 304 stainless steel bellmouth. Using our 3D scanning and computer modeling, we can match the turbine geometry while maximizing flow into the tubing. This also allows us to make tight bend geometry while maintaining a nice and thick-walled part that can withstand the abuse of racing both on the track and auto-cross. This is far-superior to pie-cut welded tubing in every way! We can also easily retain the mounting points for factory heat shielding.
All of our exhaust components that replace an OEM catalytic converter are built with High Flow, 200 Cell, EPA Certified Catalytic Converters.
This product is not CARB Certified and does not ship to California.

I would definitely recommend this downpipe to anyone wanting a little bit more noise and airflow compared to stock. Absolutely amazing sound, no check engine lights- perfection.
P.S. I would suggest getting replacement exhaust studs from Hyundai if you tackle this swap at home.

The delay was depressingly long but after all that, when it arrived at my door i didnt regret the wait. I knew sxth would deliver on their highest quality product standard. I made the terrible decision to install this myself with a harbor freight jack and a 2 decade old set of tools and a barely working decade old impact gun. It was the toughest job I've done to the car yet but also easier than i scared myself into believing it was. The symphony of popcorn that this downpipe creates is ridiculous. The power is instantly noticeable. The smell of raw gas is profound. In normal mode the only thing your neighbors will dislike is the cold start but even so its surprisingly quiet. When you dare put this baby into N mode anyone around you will hate you but you will be to busy giggling like a school girl to care. There are cheeper alternatives in the market but i chose quality over price and as of this day, sxth is unbeatable.
I purchased this on black friday and suffered delays but nonetheless I rather have a quality product. I like how it looks compared to the stock downpipe and how it makes my car sounds. I love the mini catalytic converter--good for the environment and seems to be smaller than stocks.
