The SXTH Element Engineering EM3 lower engine mount for the 2.5T platform is here!

Our mount utilizes EPDM Rubber.  EPDM rubber is formulated in such a way that it offers the same performance as urethane at a lower durometer. With the lower durometer, there is much less Noise/Vibration/Harshness (NVH) compared to current mounts that use polyurethane.

This EPDM rubber also has stronger thermal properties than polyurethane and we back this mount with our Lifetime Limited Warranty. Engine movement is significantly reduced with much less NVH vs polyurethane mounts.

Design


Specific to the 2.5T platform, the EM3 is a simple bolt on solution for less drivetrain movement.  The EPDM busing is pressed into the billet aluminum body.  The mount is fully designed in CAD for a perfect OEM fit and finish.

 

The Bushing


We have partnered with Custom Performance Engineering to use their EPDM bushings.  With a 60 durometer EPDM rubber, we can rival polyurethane of any higher rating while transmiitting over 50% less NVH to the cabin.  While the EPDM is a more expensive process, this means more performance without cabin shaking compromises!

    EM3 Engine Mount

    Well made. Made the sport+ WOT shifts feel seemingly quicker, and less impactful. Vibration was completely acceptable above 1,000 rpm. Anything below, especially idle, was completely unacceptable! Forget rolling forward, or having the A/C on! Vibration was so bad it felt, and sounded like I had a 15 inch subwoofer playing only one note! Hopefully I can return it.
